LJA Infrastructure takes No. 1 spot on 2018 Aggie 100

LJA Infrastructure, a Houston-area rail design and construction services firm, has ranked in first place among the Aggie 100. LJA Infrastructure, Inc., is a wholly-owned subsidiary of LJA Engineering, Inc.

Now in its 14th year, Texas A&M University’s McFerrin Center for Entrepreneurship in the Mays Business School recognizes the 100 fastest-growing Aggie-owned or -managed businesses in the world. Mike R. Baker, PE, President of LJA Infrastructure and Calvin Ladner, PE, Director and Chairman of the Board of LJA Infrastructure and President of LJA Engineering are both Texas A&M University alumni from the Class of 1980.

The companies are ranked by compound annual revenue growth from 2015 to 2017. To be considered, companies must also meet specific revenue criteria and operate “in a manner consistent with the Aggie Code of Honor,” according to the university.

LJA Infrastructure, which led the list with a three-year growth rate of 188 percent.

Calvin noted, “This prestigious award identifies, recognizes, and celebrates the success of Aggie leaders and entrepreneurs from around the world. It was through Mike’s vision and entrepreneurship that enabled us to achieve the highest-ranked company on the Aggie 100 list this year.”
